Elderflowering: Celebrating being 50 plus

With master storyteller Dr Geoff Mead and Nick Owen                       Venue: Hawkwood College, Stroud, Gloucestershire

What does it take to engage vibrantly with the stage in life called eldership or elderhood? We will draw on wisdom traditions, ritual, and the power of storytelling to help each participant understand what becoming an elder might mean for them and how it could affect their sense of purpose in the second half of life. The workshop is for both men and women and is relevant for people in their fifties and beyond.

NLPexcellence2017 Conference, Madrid, Spain

Workshop: NLP, Life, Metaphor & Frameworks

Every time we go through any kind of change process or transition in our lives we have to let go of old assumptions, old ways of being and doing. We might even have to let go of a part of our sense of who we are in order to fully embrace what’s next for us, and discover who we could become in the next stage of our life.

How does NLP serve this journey and how does it fit into the wider context of our personal development, the complexity of our sense-making, and our pursuit of meaning?

The Third Act Conference: A Taste of Transition

RCPI, 6 Kildare Street, Dublin 2

“Everyone who lives long enough gets to have a third age; not everyone gets to have a third act”

Nick Owen will co-facilitate this year’s conference. Among other things, Nick will use The Third Act Elder Tales as a way of exploring what this transition from the second to third act in life is all about. These stories remind us of the riches that await us in The Third Act in life but not before we have gone through the ‘transitionary stages’ and crossed the various Third Act ‘thresholds’.
