Ordinary thinkers keep fish; integral thinkers keep water
Water is the environment which fish inhabit, and different fish thrive in different kinds of water. If you take care of the water rather than the fish, the fish will take care of themselves
In this way, the integral thinker takes a more complex systemic position that takes into account all relevant factors that produce the conditions most likely to achieve healthy long term success for the environment - or organisation - and all things that inhabit it.
Integral thinkers apply short to longer term time scales, and seek opportunities for effective, achievable outcomes that are productive, ecological, generative, and sustainable.
Integral thinkers actively seek win-win-win situations:
a win for me, a win for you, and a win for the health
of the system as a whole. In the long run, no other
equation will ensure long term survival for the individual,
the organisation, or the planet.

All Nick Owen Associates programmes explore integral approaches.
